You are gone now,

irretrievably gone.

With you, too, has passed

a part of my life,

never to be lived again.

I had to let you go

where I could not follow,

and heavy tears choke my spirit.

I remain in the world

of time and opposites,

while you have gone on

to Timelessness

and Unity.

Growing old

is a sacred journey.

Being old

is dying too soon.

To me,

it's a thing of beauty

kissed by sparkling morning due.

To her,

a matter

of life and death.

At the edge of the Sea of Life,

where form meets formless,

I am at once

everything and nothing.
