I was born and raised in New England, but have lived in the southwest, the northwest, and now Florida. I loved back-packing and wilderness camping in the mountain ranges of both coasts, and thrilled with white water canoeing. Now it’s bike rides or walks
on the beach.
With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, my professional career of over thirty-five years was focused upon working with children ages birth to five years and their families. I served as a classroom teacher, child-care program director, and as a child development specialist. The children’s abilities ranged from gifted to developmentally challenged. This background gives me a rich understanding of the impact of early childhood experiences on adult life.
In retirement, I explored many paths, including being a Jewish Para-chaplain, a cantorial soloist, and a Unity Church prayer chaplain. I enjoy spending time alone in nature, recording the beauty through photography and poetry. But my great passion is using AstroPsychology to work with a client and their natal chart, to facilitate self-understanding and self-acceptance.
"What we are really living for is the experience of life, both the pain and the pleasure."
My grandmother was an astrologer who also studied tarot, numerology, and Kabbalah. I have inherited her interest! After the failure of a second marriage, I decided I needed a way to understand why, and what I could learn from these experiences. I began studying astrology. This continued on and off for many years, seeking just the right approach. At the same time, I didn’t like the feeling that I was becoming dependent upon astrology to control my life. Over the years, I continued to take workshops, attend conferences, read, and explore a variety of astrological material. In the fall of 2015 I completed the two-year intensive diploma program at the Academy of AstroPsychology. I continue to deepen my knowledge with further workshops taught by other well-known astrologers.
Part of my passion for psychological astrology is to help people understand that they are so much more than their “Sun Signs” and that they are continually evolving. For more information about the sessions see the Consultations page. To arrange for a session, see the Contact Celia page.
